A1: Rep. Monroe Nichols is the current Representative for OKHD72 and will continue to serve until the end of his term in November.
I will be sworn in following the General Election in November.
I will be sworn in following the General Election in November.
Q2: Will you have to move to OKC?
A2: No. Representatives must continue to live in the districts they serve and I have no plans to move away from OKHD72.
Q3: Will you have an office in Tulsa?
A3: No. Unfortunately, the state does not provide funding for legislators to have offices in their districts. I am actively looking for meeting locations that can be used on an as needed basis. If you have any suggestions, submit those using one of the contact options listed on Question #9
Q4: Will you continue teaching?
A4: Oklahoma law prohibits me from continuing my career as a public school educator while serving and for two years after leaving office. However, I will teach for the 2024-2025 school year beginning in August until I am sworn in this November.
Q5: What do you do before you’re sworn in?
A5: I have no official duties until I am sworn in but in the meantime I am continuing to do strategic work to prepare. I will also return to work as a teacher on August 5th.
